Date Day Fashion

New fashion pieces for a date day is a must right?

Even after 8 years I get excited for a date day with Mike, we live together but daily life means we can be like passing ships as the saying goes.

Now Mike is 100% not into fashion at all but I am so therefore I needed a new outfit when we recently had two date days.

Date One

Our first date day was more a date night and was a casual dinner in Norwich.
I wanted to keep the casual vibe so opted for jeans and a top.
The jeans luckily came through on order that day so it was perfect timing and the jeans in questions are the pearl and ball embellished jeans from Zara.
I have seen these jeans all over Instagram and thought they were lovely and after failing to fit into the size 10 in-store I had to order the 12's in.
I teamed my new jeans with a new top from Shein. Shein was a sponsored feed on my Facebook and I am now hooked. All the fashion pieces are just gorgeous and so affordable.

My look was topped off with some tassel shoes from a few years ago, leather jacket and Louis Vuitton bag.

Date Two

Date two was was in the beautiful Cambridge. Like date one I chose jeans but this time a tassel pair from Topshop.
I teamed these jeans with a top I had picked up from a concession within the Topshop store called 'Nobody's Child'.
I had not seen this brand before but it really is lovely and you should check out their website!
This beautiful top was just £22 and I wore tucked in slightly with a Topshop belt and Karen Millen shoe boots.
I love the cold shoulder style of this top and the pretty button detail down the front made it extra feminine with a slightly vintage feel.

Is this the best mascara ever?

I think I have lost count the mascaras I have bought and not thought too much of and with weekly adverts promising to give us the lashes of our dreams do they really?

L'Oreal have over 25 different mascaras on their website and I have probably tested them all. To date my favourite was 'False lash superstar X' but I found it to be a 'faf' with using the two different steps as I'm often in a rush from the gym most mornings, but now finally they have launched in my opinion their best mascara yet

Miss Baby Roll

There are other 'Roller' mascara's on the market but I wasn't prepared to pay the price tag for something that will not live up to the adverts but at £7.99 I was prepared to give this one a try.

Miss Baby Roll promises mega volume and it does just that. With a flexible rubber wand the mascara glides on easily with no clumping. You can layer this mascara several times to build your desired length.

For The Bold

For the bold out there Miss baby roll is available in spring colours too; teal, indigo and lilac. Perfect for the festival seasons ahead.

Youtube: Sanctuary Charcoal Bubble Mask

The hype of charcoal in beauty is not going away so I thought I would try a charcoal bubble mask

There are lots of charcoal masks on the market and like me you would have seen them all over the Internet with mixed reviews.
I have always wanted to try one but wasn't too keen on splashing out £££ for one so I was pleased to stumble across the Sanctuary charcoal bubble sheet mask for just £5.

To see the mask in action see my review video below.

Have you tried this mask and did it bubble as much?

Simply Soaps

Natural organic soaps made in Norfolk

Why have I only just discovered them

Simply soaps is a local company to me in Norwich; 5 miles down the road to be precise and has been in business for 20 years now creating bath, body and skincare that is all organic.

Simply soaps is proud to be organic and not just natural; there is a difference. For a final product to be 'organic' every aspect of the process from start to finish must also be organic with not even a drop of synthetic compounds or chemicals in sight.
For companies to achieve this it takes hard work and dedication which is why so many brands are happy to settle for just 'natural'.
Before descovering the brand I wasn't fully aware of the difference between the two labling and i'm sure I wasn't alone.

Being organic also means the products are perfect for even the most sensitive skin types as they don't contain the nasty chemicals and preservatives like many other brands.

The Soaps

I have been lucky enough to try two of the gorgeous soaps from their range; Geranium Rose and Neroli.
The beauty of these soaps is the benefit of the essential oils within them. Not only are the soaps moisturising and smell amazing but the essential oil properties will have a benefit to your body and mind too.
Unlike man-made fragrance's the essential oils will be still be there until the last shower so you will always have the gorgeous fragrance with every wash.

Geranium Rose

Both these have been my all time favourite essential oils and compliment each other well for their balancing qualities not only on the mind and body but on the skin too.  I use this soap at night to relax and unwind before bed.

Neroli essential oil is good for stress or anxiety so this uplifting bar will be perfect to get you through a work day as well as helping you de-stress at night. Neroli is also good for skin health so get rubbing.

You will be surprised to know that even though these bars of soap are organic and hand made they are affordable with prices from just £2.79

Other Products

Don't be fooled by the brand name as there is more to  'Simply Soaps' than soap. Check out these other products from there online store.

Queen of Sheba, exfoliating facial wash grains £3.95

Can you really do your make up in 5 minutes?

Well Charlotte Tilbury has risen to the challenge and has designed 4 limited edition 'Quick N Easy' make up kits that are designed to fit into every hectic lifestyle.

They include a selection of products to help achieve the looks below

Daytime Chic
Red Carpet Party
Smokey Evening Eye
Natural Glowing

I purchased Natural Glowing for £55 which is a bargain considering 3 products alone would cost £73.

The kit comes in a beautifully designed make up bag embossed in the iconic red lips and contains the following products

Mini Wonder Glow

A gorgeous light cream to give your skin a glowing finish.

Beach Stick in Moon Beach

This can be blended in to your cheeks for a flush of colour, dabbed under the brow for a highlight and on your lips for a splash of colour.

Colour Chameleon in Amber Haze

Line your eyes of blend with a brush over your entire lid to turn your day look to evening.

Legendary lash mascara

A couple of coats is all you need for full lashes

Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria

A classic nude to compliment any skin tone. This lipstick is perfect for quick touch up's during the day.

Today I  put these products to the test and in 5 minutes I really did transform my face

The next kit I have my eye on is the 'Red Carpet Party Look'
